Built for the underground
Kasi Tiny Desk creates intimate live audience sessions where emerging DJs and vocalists perform while their sets are professionally filmed and recorded, giving artists quality content, real visibility, and the kind of stage experience that money alone can't fast-track
Taking the platform directly into communities creates a less intimidating environment for artists who may not yet feel ready for mainstream venues.
As a travelling platform, Kasi Tiny Desk moves across different parts of Botswana, building a stronger national creative network one kasi at a time. Beyond talent, each activation supports local economic activity — audiences show up, kasi businesses move product.
EDITION 01 - BROADHURST EXTENSION 20
The first session
The very first edition of Kasi Tiny Desk gave local professional DJs the chance to perform live in front of a community audience, while also opening the floor to underground talent to showcase, connect, and network. The community of Broadhurst Extension 20 showed up and made sure it was a night to remember.
