The First Roar
Echoes of the Wild is founded in May 2019 as an experiential platform dedicated to promoting Botswana's electronic music scene and creative culture. The first event is hosted, bringing together a community of music lovers, DJs, and creatives who share a vision for what Botswana's culture could become on a global stage. The seed of a movement is planted.
Roots Run Deeper
Despite a year of global disruption, Echoes of the Wild uses the pause to build from within. The foundations of the Talent Platform are laid, relationships with local creatives are deepened, and the vision for a larger destination festival begins to take shape. The community grows stronger in stillness.
The Kasi Tiny Desk is Born
Echoes of the Wild launches the Kasi Tiny Desk Sessions, intimate filmed live DJ and performance sessions hosted in local communities across Botswana. The concept is simple but powerful, bring world-class performance to the neighbourhood, film it, and share it with the world. The first sessions draw immediate attention from the local creative community and beyond.
Building the Platform
The Echoes Talent Platform is formalised, giving Botswana's DJs, producers, performers, designers, and creatives a dedicated space to be listed, discovered, and booked. The Echoes Podcast (Business of Entertainment) launches, bringing honest and practical industry knowledge to Botswana's creative community for the first time. The brand identity sharpens. The mission becomes clearer.
The Culture Finds Its Voice
Echoes of the Wild hosts some of its most successful events to date, expanding its reach across Botswana and attracting growing attention from regional and international audiences. Echoes TV grows as a content platform, with Tiny Desk sessions accumulating views from across Africa and beyond. Workshops are introduced, empowering a new generation of creatives with real industry knowledge and practical career tools.
Eyes on the World
Echoes of the Wild begins laying the groundwork for its most ambitious project yet, a full-scale destination festival in Kasane, Chobe. Partnerships with lodges, safari operators, transport providers, and technical suppliers are established. The brand steps into a new chapter, no longer just a music platform, but a destination movement with international ambitions.

Echoes of the Wild was founded in May 2019 with a clear and personal mission, to create a platform that celebrated Botswana's electronic music scene and gave local creatives a stage they deserved. What began as a community-driven music platform has since grown into a full destination movement connecting music, tourism, and cultural pride on a global level.
Since 2019, Echoes of the Wild has grown from a single music platform into a multi-faceted creative and cultural organisation. We have launched the Kasi Tiny Desk Sessions, the Echoes Podcast, the Talent Platform, and a series of creative workshops, and we are now producing our most ambitious project to date, the Echoes of the Wild Kasane Weekender destination festival.
Every chapter of our story has carried its own significance, from the very first event in 2019 to the launch of the Kasi Tiny Desk Sessions and the Echoes Podcast. But the development of the Kasane Weekender represents our biggest milestone yet, the moment where everything we have built comes together into one world-class destination experience.
Our vision is to become Africa's leading music-safari destination platform, blending electronic sound with cultural and tribal expression in a way that puts Botswana at the centre of the global conversation. The Kasane Weekender is the next major chapter, but it is far from the last. We are building something that will grow with every edition, every session, every workshop, and every creative who joins the tribe.
