Echoes of the Wild
is a business name operating under Okavango Gear (Pty) Ltd. This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through www.echoesofthewild.co.bw, including event tickets, clothing, merchandise, and related products.
By purchasing from Echoes of the Wild, you agree to the terms of this refund policy.

1. Event Tickets

All event ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except where Echoes of the Wild cancels the event.

Once a ticket has been purchased, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Failure to attend the event
  • Late arrival
  • Personal emergencies
  • Weather conditions, unless the event is officially cancelled by Echoes of the Wild
  • Travel, accommodation, transport, or other personal costs linked to the event
  • Duplicate purchases caused by customer error
  • Tickets bought from unauthorised third parties


2. Event Cancellation

If Echoes of the Wild cancels an event, ticket holders may be offered one of the following options:

  • A refund of the ticket price paid; or

  • A ticket transfer to a new event date; or

  • A credit voucher for a future Echoes of the Wild event.

Refunds will only apply to the ticket amount paid. Echoes of the Wild will not be responsible for any additional costs such as transport, accommodation, flights, meals, service fees, banking charges, or other personal expenses.


3. Event Postponement or Rescheduling

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will remain valid for the new event date. 

Refunds for postponed or rescheduled events will not be automatic. Echoes of the Wild may, at its discretion, offer ticket transfers, credits, or other reasonable options depending on the circumstances.


4. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Tickets

Echoes of the Wild is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, copied, or unauthorised tickets.

Customers must keep their ticket confirmation, QR code, or proof of purchase safe. Entry may be refused where a ticket cannot be verified.


5. Clothing and Merchandise Refunds

For clothing and merchandise, we want you to be happy with your purchase. However, to protect the quality of our brand and our customers, returns and exchanges are only accepted under the conditions below.

Items may be returned or exchanged within 7 days of receiving the product, provided that the item is:

  • Unworn

  • Unwashed

  • Unused

  • In its original condition

  • With all tags, labels, and packaging still attached

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Echoes of the Wild reserves the right to refuse a return if the product does not meet these conditions.


6. Non-Refundable Clothing and Merchandise Items

The following items are not eligible for refund or exchange unless they are defective:

  • Custom-made or personalised items

  • Printed-on-demand clothing

  • Limited edition event merchandise

  • Sale or discounted items

  • Items damaged through misuse, washing, ironing, alterations, or general wear and tear

  • Items returned without proof of purchase

  • Items returned after the return period


7. Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong size, we may offer an exchange, subject to stock availability.

If the requested size or product is not available, Echoes of the Wild may offer store credit or an alternative item of equal value.

Customers are responsible for return delivery or transport costs for size exchanges, unless the mistake was caused by Echoes of the Wild.


8. Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective item or the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

Please include:

  • Your full name

  • Order number or proof of purchase

  • Clear photos of the item

  • A description of the issue

Once the item has been inspected and approved, Echoes of the Wild may offer a repair, replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund.

This policy does not limit any rights customers may have under applicable Botswana consumer protection laws. Botswana consumer guidance states that defective goods may be returned within six months if they fail to meet quality requirements, with repair, replacement, or refund as remedies.


9. Return Delivery Costs

Customers are responsible for return delivery costs unless the item received was defective or incorrect due to an error by Echoes of the Wild.

We recommend using a reliable delivery method. Echoes of the Wild is not responsible for returned items that are lost, delayed, or damaged during delivery.


10. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, or mobile money platform. Echoes of the Wild is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers.


11. Right to Refuse Refunds

Echoes of the Wild reserves the right to refuse any refund, return, or exchange where:

  • The item has been used, worn, washed, or damaged

  • The customer cannot provide proof of purchase

  • The return request is made outside the allowed period

  • The product was bought from an unauthorised seller

  • The claim is fraudulent, dishonest, or abusive

  • The issue was caused by customer misuse or failure to follow care instructions
